3. How to create notes/symbol in 2D
drawing?
When we are creating 2d drawing, every time typing the notes wastes a lot
of time, and in most times we find we can catalog the notes for the drawings,
but after concluding them, how could we add them in an efficient way? Let’s look
into it.
3.1 In 2D drawing, tab “Annotate”->“Annotations” group ->“Symbol”
->“Symbol Gallery” ->“Menu Manager”;
3.2 In “Menu Manager”,“SYM GALLERY” -> click “Define” ->enter symbol
name ->go to “SYM_EDIT_NOTES” window;
3.3 Click “Insert” -> click “Note…” -> check the “Menu Manager”
-> click “Make Note”-> select a free point on the drawing;
3.4 Enter Note -> click “Done/Return” in Menu Manager -> edit Notes
with “Note Properties”;
3.5 Copy notes (ctrl+c, ctrl+v), paste notes, edit it.
3.6 Click “Groups” in Menu Manager -> click “Create” -> enter group
name ->select the first notes, then create group BB&CC.
3.7 “Menu Manager” will change to below shown:
Edit: add or remove groups by choosing group names;
Delete: delete groups by choosing group names;
Clear All: delete all groups;
Group Attr: choose “Exclusive” or “Independent”;
Change Level: adjust groups levels.
Edit: add or remove groups by choosing group names;
Delete: delete groups by choosing group names;
Clear All: delete all groups;
Group Attr: choose “Exclusive” or “Independent”;
Change Level: adjust groups levels.
Edit: add or remove groups by choosing group names;
Delete: delete groups by choosing group names;

Group Attr: choose “Exclusive” or “Independent”;
Change Level: adjust groups levels.
3.8 Click “Attributes” -> go to “Symbol Definition Attributes” window
-> in tab “General” -> check “Free” in group “Allowed Placement Types”
-> select a point in drawing to pick the notes when using it.
3.9 Change to tab “Var Text” -> edit the “Preset Values for:…” (type
in the notes) ->click“OK”.
3.10 click “Done” in Menu Manager -> the “SYM_EDIT” window close
automatically ->click “Done” in the main 2d drawing window, the notes
creating is complete, it’s saved in session, if you want to save it in files,
click “Write” -> enter the directory (if the directory displayed is where you
want to save, then type enter button).
